What is refubished fitness equipment?
Many of our customers ask us what is refurbished fitness equipment. We hope the following explanation is clear and reassuring.
"Refurbished," home fitness products simply means that the fitness equipment was returned to the original manufacturer either
because the customer simply didn't want it, the box was damaged or a minor problem or fault was found (most likely when being built up or while in use).
In some cases refurbished, fitness products may or may not have scratches, scuffs, marks, dents or other forms of 'cosmetic' damage which do not
affect the performance of the unit. Cosmetic damage like this sometimes occurs in the return transit. For example, sometimes the wheels of
the machines will be scuffed when being built up and wheeled around in the warehouse. Some products may have incurred 'light use' and
might show signs of this, such as scratches, dents on the metal work, or a crack in the side.
Refurbished fitness products cannot be sold as 'new products' even though they are often returned 'as good as new'.
For example, a treadmill might have been returned for some reason totally unrelated to the product itself, i.e. the customer
changed their mind about the colour or the model, or the machine was too big. However, please note we do not record a products 'return history' due to the volume of products we refurbish each day.
Before re-selling stock, our trained team of in-house technicians unbox and assemble every fitness machine. They try and test each piece of equipment,
fixing any problems or faults. In some cases a returned fitness product may need no attention at all.
All refurbished products are given a six month parts and labour warranty which begins from the day of purchase or the date of invoice. After the six moths warranty we can still help repair your product or supply parts. Please call us on 0845 643 5656 for a quote.
Refurbished fitness products are sold at a cheaper price – in some cases up to 70% cheaper, but more often at 50% cheaper than the usual rrp.
