Multi-Gym Buying Guide
Why Buy a Multi-Gym
Multi-Gyms allow you to follow your strength training regime at home with one piece of equipment.
Multi-Gyms are excellent for everyone from the beginner just starting out on a strength training program to the hardened
trainer who wants an alternative to the gym.
Choosing the right Multi-Gym
When looking for a multi-gym there are a few things to consider. Firstly where is it going to go in the house?
Is there enough room (bearing in mind there will be moving parts also)? If you are thinking of putting the multi-gym
in your garage then check the height clearance as gym systems tend to be fairly tall.
Multi-gyms come with various different weights stacks dependant on price and quality. If you want to tone up or are
just starting out then you won’t need a massive weight stack. However if you are looking to build muscle and have been
training a while, then the weight of the weight stack will be more important. Also the variety of exercises that can be performed on
a multi-gym is important and being able to perform these exercises without having to change any parts of the multi-gym i.e. the cables.
Look for brands such as Weider, Pro-Form, Marcy, NordicTrack etc who supply good quality and functional multi-gyms.
